Our client, a manufacturer and distributor of industrial equipment and machinery, faced significant challenges when launching their B2B eCommerce store. Their vast product catalog was not optimized for an online store, hindered browsing, filtering, and displaying relevant product information for their spec-driven products. Their buyers required complex approval workflows and other processes that needed to translated into easy-to-understand webpages.
First, RhymeCommerce interviewed their customers to understand requirements when purchasing products from the company. These requirements included user accounts for different levels of hierarchy, bulk ordering, quote negotiation and visibility into order history.
With these insights, RhymeCommerce designed all the webpages in the online store. Each page was custom designed according to buyer needs and company processes. We used our knowledge of B2B eCommerce UX/UI best practices to design a buyer experience that would optimize conversions and create a positive and engaging experience for customers.
We also restructured the product data according to best practices and to increase product discoverability and personalization.
